Here's the challenge. Look for some prose (can be something you wrote, or from a book, magazine, or from online) Pick a short passage and using line breaks, formation of stanzas, enjambment, make it "poem-ish". You might need to take out a 'the' 'a' 'but' yet, leave the passage as close to the original prose as possible. It might turn out ridiculously bad, but the exercise is to think about line breaks and division into stanzas, and how those choices convey meaning.

Here's the original reading passage:
Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport that uses different equipment during the routines. The gymnast can use a rope, hoop, ball, clubs or ribbons. The routine has elements from dance, ballet and gymnastics. The gymnasts can compete as a team, or on their own. There are many international competitions for rhythmic gymnastics.
