Jym Ponter, former D*O*S moderator, passed away 10/20/21 after a lengthy illness (not COVID-19). We met on AC & remained the best of friends until his passing. My heart is still healing. Here’s a link to his obituary- www.cocklinfuneralhome.com/obituary/William-Ponter

I didn't spend much time in D*O*S, and never got to know him - what username did he go by?

Sasha, I did not know him but you have my condolences. I will be looking up his obit. Thank you, but I never met him either, neither IRL nor virtually - unless he'd posted in other forums under a pseudonym. I was curious to know if had done so, and if he had, under what "handle".

I’m pretty sure he used to post using his real name. Maybe just Jym? I can’t remember. I knew him online for many years and was so looking forward to meeting him in person one day. He was a fabulous musician, lyricist, songwriter, and poet. I was shocked when I heard he had passed. I’m still having a hard time accepting it.
I think it was you, timber, who posted a link to his music years ago and I was so impressed. Thank you! Then we became friends.

Wow... Such a heavy, devastating loss. jym was an amazing inspiration and brilliant poet. Pass the blue toothpick like a blunt instrument of music & mayhem. As paul kren would say, I read this. Werd

Oh, no...g-d bless.
Jym was and still remains a beautiful poet, lyricist, song writer, artist, and creator.
Rest In Power, dear friend.
This news breaks my heart.
Much Love, Brom.
